Primary care
Beckett Ridge Family Medicine cares for children and teens in West Chester Township, OH, with well-child checkups, sick visits, sports physicals and help with ongoing health concerns. Dr. Chris Diatte and our nurse practitioners see kids and parents in the same practice. Call (513) 860-4600 to schedule.
At Beckett Ridge Family Medicine, every one of our providers sees patients of all ages. That means your children can see the same practice you do, with one phone number, one patient portal and one team that knows your family's history.
For busy families in West Chester Township, Liberty Township and Mason, having siblings and parents at the same office can make scheduling simpler. It also helps your provider understand how health concerns run in your family.
We have cared for families in this community since 1995. When a child grows up with the same practice, their provider gets to know their history, their personality and what's normal for them. That continuity can make it easier to notice changes and to talk about sensitive topics as your child becomes a teenager.
As teens get older, we help them take more ownership of their own health, from understanding their medications to learning how to describe symptoms and ask questions. When they become young adults, they can keep seeing the same team.
Well-child visits are regular checkups when your child isn't sick. They're a time to track how your child is growing and developing and to answer your questions. A typical well-child visit may include:
Your provider will tell you when your child's next checkup is due. If your child plays sports, ask whether a sports physical can be scheduled at the same time.
When your child is sick, you want them seen by someone who knows them. Call us during office hours. Depending on symptoms, we may offer a same-day appointment with an available provider. Common reasons children come in include:
Call 911 if your child is struggling to breathe, is very hard to wake, has a seizure, or you believe their life is in danger.
We also help children and teens with ongoing issues, such as allergies, headaches, skin conditions, and stress, anxiety or low mood. If your child needs a specialist, we'll help coordinate the referral and stay involved in their care.
Step by step
Call (513) 860-4600. Let us know whether this is a checkup, a sick visit or a sports physical.
Bring your insurance card, any school or sports forms, a list of your child's medications and their immunization record if they're new to our practice.
A member of our team checks your child's height, weight and vital signs and asks about any changes since the last visit.
Your provider examines your child, answers your questions and talks with older kids and teens directly about their health.
You'll leave knowing the next steps and when your child's next checkup is due.

Good to know
We see patients of all ages. All three of our providers care for children, teens and adults, so your whole family can come to the same practice.
Both are good options. A family practice lets parents and kids see the same team, keeps family history in one place and lets your child stay with the same practice into adulthood. Talk with us about what fits your family.
Yes. At well-child visits, your provider reviews the immunizations recommended for your child's age and answers your questions. Call (513) 860-4600 to ask about your child's specific needs before the visit.
Call during office hours. Depending on symptoms, we may be able to offer a same-day appointment with an available provider, or we may direct you to the emergency room if that's safer.
A parent or guardian should plan to come with children and younger teens. As teens get older, your provider may spend part of the visit talking with them one-on-one, which helps them build confidence in managing their own health.
